【讀後感】｢The Twelfth Angel 第十二個天使｣

從圖書館借來英文版的這本 The Twelfth Angel ，利用閒暇之餘閱讀完畢。這真是一本勵志的好書，淺顯易懂、環環扣人心弦、又感動人心。

一開始對主角 John Harding 角色的鋪陳就讓人想一鼓作氣的看下去，妻子及獨子的同時死亡使得劇情急轉直下，然後高中好友 Bill West 在他想結束生命時出現，讓他成為棒球隊的教練，重新使得生活有了重心。而球隊裡個子最小、也是球技最差的 Timothy Noble 卻成為他和整個球隊的最佳打氣員。John 從 Timothy 身上學到了對生命的價值和珍惜，重心又可以面對生命以及生活。

John 對好友 Bill 表達了一段感人的謝意：｢You came back into my life at just the right time. You gave me something to worry about , to think about, to live for - the Angels. You and those great kids actually returned my life to me when I didn't want one anymore.｣

Timothy 激勵人心的自勵話語，也深烙人心：｢Day by day in everyway I am getting better and better.｣ ｢Never ... never ... never ... never ... never ... never give up!｣
